Lunch-Hour Book Study

The Cathedral’s Lunch-Hour Book Study is offered monthly, on the first Tuesday of each month, 12 noon – 1 pm. All the books to be discussed will be short, accessible and narrative driven–including some non-fiction, but mostly fiction. Your experience of each of these Book Study discussions will certainly be enriched if you pick up the book in question and read it, but that is not at all “required.” These Book Study sessions will be designed to fit nicely into the lunch-hour so all should feel free to bring their lunch and eat while we discuss. We will also have simple sandwiches on hand for any who want one–all we ask in return is a small freewill donation.

From September, 2010, through Christmas, 2010, we will offer four Book Study programs:

The Power and the Glory, by Graham Greene
(Sept)

Traveling Mercies, by Anne Lamott
(Oct.)

Atonement, by Ian McEwan
Nov. 9 (note: no book study Nov. 2, due to elections)

Death Comes For the Archbishop, by Willa Cather
Dec. 7
