This Modern Church, cont’d

Michael Adams just commented on a post I wrote a little over a week ago about the Episcopal Church’s appropriately modern perspective on certain issues (women in leadership, acceptance of gay people, engagement with current local, national and world politics, etc). The subject came up in response to the question of how best to communicate to the world our church’s vision of the Kingdom of Heaven. And so Michael writes:

The larger question is how do we overcome the perception of Christians that is dictated by the likes of the folks who are burning the Quran this weekend?

Yeah… good question.
